How many 7mm-08 owners here?

Just curious how many of y'all have the pleasure of owning an 08?
Mine is Browning BLR(bought by my dad in the 90s)
My wife's is Browning Micro Hunter A Bolt. Her's is by far the sweetest shooting high powered rifle I have shot. It's just big enough to quel the light recoil, fast acquisition on the scope, SMOOTH as glass bolt.
I bought it for my wife while we were engaged, about 20 years ago, and her father told her......."If y'all break up, you're keeping that gun!" LOL, Father knows best!
IMHO Browning missed the mark with the sloppy handle on the x bolts.

Don't own one but recommended the 7/08 to a lot of customers back in my days at the gun counter. I bought a Ruger 77 in 7x57 in 1976 before the 7/08 was anything but a wildcat. Hand loading it gives me the same performance as the 7/08 and it has accounted for numerous deer and antelope. But If I had waited 4 or 5 years I would have gotten the 7/08 to have the versatility of using factory loads as well because the 7x57 has always been loaded light for the 100+ year old guns out there. Contrary to some opinions a 140 gr bullet at 2800 fps will kill anything in North America and not beat up the shooter while doing it. Bob
Years ago I bought a Remington #7 from a neighbor. I avoid the subject when he talks about buying it back.
Browning A Bolt SS and a TC Encore pistol in 7-08. My daughter has a Remington 700 LSS also. The 7-08 is a great caliber that IMHO may be the perfect whitetail round. Excellent ballistics and minimal recoil.
i too have a BLR 7-08 i bought used for a give away price. havent shot it very much but its sure nice to look at. 7mm with the proper bullet will kill anything on the planet.
I WISH that I had bought several pallets of ammo when it was $12 a box, now it's about $40 a box🤢🤮
I was smart enough to buy all we need over the years, but I could have sold it for $30 and make money(while still saving other people $ too). It's amazing how much the ammo went up! Speaking of Winchester PP. But it has ALL gone up.
I have a Ruger M77 re-barreled with a Shilen barrel in 7mm-08. It's a 1969 flat bolt that used to be a 6mm. It's first owner had beat it up pretty badly, and hand carved some crude deer and bighorn sheep in the stock. So it got a new claro walnut stock and a fresh barrel.
I have enough Hornady and Nosler .284 bullets, brass, primers and powder to reload it the rest of my life. 🙂
I've never had one but they look good on paper. Back in the 80's they were real popular with the metallic silhouette shooting guys.
Full size A-Bolt, walnut stock and, yes, working the bolt is like slipping on the ice. No effort involved.
Have Micro A-bolt and I need to get it out. Nothing better imo for the money.
I keep hoping PSA will do a run of 7mm-08 barrels I would rebarrel my 308 in a heartbeat
Do a search on DeadShot barrels. They have sold on GB before.
A Weatherby Vanguard, Remington model Seven, and a Mossberg Patriot.
Have a Rem 700 in 7-08. With ammo in short supply, this cart is a reloaders dream. Very impressed with the 7-08.
You can also make brass easily with plentiful 308.
Remington 700 Mountain DBM and a Kimber Montana
Love the 7-08!
With the AR10 platform from what I understand is not all barrels are compatible with the PSA bolt carrier group
I'm fairly certain there are no dogs among the many production cartridges based on the .308 win. The .358, .338 federal (I think), 7mm-08, 260, .243. All good cartridges for their intended purposes. The same can be said for those based on the 06. I'd personally like to have a .260 in an AR platform. But, I'd like a lot of things.
7mm08 x4 here.
2x Savage 110
1x Wby Vanguard carbine
1x Mauser commercial action w/heavy contour barrel
I used the Wby carbine for several deer and put it away when I found the 25/06 had 100 yards more range for similar recoil.
Remington 700 SPS and (2) Ruger 77's in 7mm08.
