I am trying to find out what firearm this particular firing pin is made for. I have had no luck identifying it through many hours of research. Maybe someone here can help me out.

It looks like it's from an old rabbit ear shotgun , no idea what brand
I am not sure it is a firing pin. Maybe a latch pin somewhere.
similar to the stevens favorite, some .22 rim fire firing pins have a round (half moon) indent
