There are 3 K Marts left in the US now at one time there were 2,323 of them. The one near me closed 2 years ago and is a Target now. never went to K mart and I have never been in the Target but it seems to be doing good business.
The last 3 are in Miami, NJ and NY.

In the 60s the K-Marts around here had barrels full of military surplus rifles from all over the world.Prices were from 10 to 20 dollars. This was during the time you picked out the rifle you wanted, paid for it and took home.No paperwork or jumping through hoops.
I actually miss our area K-Mart stores. Mostly from memories of my late father in law, who always talked me into going there with him. He would buy me lunch at their little grill and deli bar and we would sit and visit for hours. Great times had that are missed.
I liked goin in the old days but when they hired Rosie or whoever the commie chick was that didn't like guns I pretty much stopped going.
Too bad they did have some good stuff especially back in the 80's they had a good selection of fishing stuff and ammo.
But like Sears, JC Penny and many others they didn't keep up with the times and got pushed out.
They are located exactly where they ought to be.
I'd remember seeing one in Hamilton Montana a few weeks ago, so I checked. Looks like there are 9 of them in Montana.

At times the losses showing on an IRS form actually do you better than showing profits on the same form. Could be that's what the old timers are doing by running them into the ground.

That list is not current or up to date. The Bozeman store on N.7th. has been torn down all the way to the concrete slab floor. This was done like 4-5 years ago.
All Wal-Mart today. Times are a changing.

Back in the day, we had two KMART stores.
The work bench I'm sitting at right now.........I bought from KMART back in the middle 1970's.
No.......it was not on the "Blue Light Special ".
They also had Win. Dynapoints on sale for 7 bucks per 500 count.
