Do any of you folks load your pistol mags with a hollow point or two to be the first rounds fired followed by a ball round and then stagger the rounds HP,B,HP,B etc. ?? Just wondering.

carry gun all HP
I have in the the past when limited Ammo supply I would do as you have ask I would alternate HP and ball but the first two or three were always HP
The idea is to have the extra penetration of the ball ammo available in case of the need to shoot through a barrier. Probably not a great idea with a small single stack but might make sense in a double stack auto.
Yes, stagger high quality HP with high quality ball ammo. Even in my small single stack 6 Rd mag. 1 chamber plus 6 in mag. If attacker isn't stopped by that, then it time to go find a rifle! 😁
No. All HP
The Beretta I have here at my desk at work is loaded with Gold Dot 124+p and a few rounds of ball. I guess I should pull my Glock 30 out of the safe and just load it with all ball. I don't have a problem with a .45 acp loaded with ball.
Chamber HP rest in mag Ball. 10mm ball are flat nose and make nasty holes.
I've just got ball ammo in mine.
I load what I have
I do stagger first is two HP and then HB and last is HP . Just my decision -:
I carry one gun loaded with FMJ's and another one with hollow points. If I could just remember which is which...
All mine are loaded with HP rounds. Shooting through a wall is never a good idea, you don't know who or what, is on the other side.

I load my Judge with .410 #6 shot, its the most deadly ammo in the world😉
I used to switch from HP to ball seasonally. HP in summer and ball in winter when clothing is heavier. Did that in both my one semi-auto gun and my revolvers.
Exactly. I carry a mix of hp and ball. The ball is not for shooting through walls, BUT I may need to shoot into heavy clothing, maybe a car door, or more likely a heavy layer of FAT. I see no downside to staggering HP and ball, assuming good ammo and good gun. Some guns don't like HP, so practice whatever setup you choose to carry. Needs to be as close to 100% reliable as possible......your LIFE depends on it!
I do not. Instead I make sure I can shoot proficiently enough to get hits that count when it matters.

In my edc All HP 9mm. If 15 rounds of that ain't enough then there are bigger problems.
In my woods gun (backpacking or hiking) it's all 10mm ball (hard cast) for penetration on predators and where I don't typically have to worry about over penetration issues.
