Finally had a stretch of decent weather the last week so I got busy in the yard getting ready for the mowing season. I rolled it a week or so ago, Mowed on Tuesday and sprayed for weeds today.
So three times covering almost 3 acres each time.......It took just over 10 gallons to complete the tasks. I figure each mow will cost me about 12 bucks this year !
l guess I better plow most of it up or blacktop the whole thing !!!
Thanks Joe

Well as long as it is hurting Putin. HAHAHAHA
Biden caused not only fuel prices to double, but fertilizer and feed as well. Food is going to cost much more.
Actually watched ABC news today and surprised they acknowledged inflation now over 10% and worse in over 40 years, yet they still place the blame on Putin and Russia. I for one am sick of this big lie.
Under Trump we had energy independence and gas was $2.
My understanding is they have a new way to calculate inflation from what they used back in the days of Carter.
So true on the fertilizer etc. It will be real interesting to see what it actually costs to get our crops in this year !!

2022 is definitely not the year to just putter down to the local seed/fertilizer/chemical dealer and buy your inputs. Even if the business has something to sell, the prices are increasing daily. We applied fertilizer and paid for most of our 2022 inputs before end of 2021. I feel a bit sorry for those who didn't (or couldn't) pre-pay or pre-apply fertilizer last fall and pre-pay for seed/chemicals. I got caught short on some fertilizer that ended up causing some difficult decisions as to whether to reduce rates or spend more than I intended on some hay fields. I cut the rates to stay within my projected budget. This will most certainly reduce production and income.
If it is just lawn maintenance, there is another option for us that live in the boonies (not in town). Just let nature take its coarse. The natural beauty of nature has always been just fine by me! 😁
That sounds like a good idea !!! But my bride is a gardener and so a certain level must be kept !
AND that is what Brandon, Kerry wants, going green.
