Does anyone know if Stevens made a pistol version of the Little Scout Model 14 1/2? I couldn't find any information on such a gun. Take a look at auction number 926986796.

Kind of a crude grip and the front sight looks homemade also. Bob
Stevens 14 1/2 Rolling Block Pistol .22 long - Single Shot Pistols at GunBroker.com : 926986796
If the barrel is under 16 inches or the OAL of the gun below 26 inches, it becomes what is known as a firearm made from a rifle. Remove the pistol grip and sell it as a barreled action.
I agree with Bob. The "grip" looks homemade. I would also like to see the muzzle to see if it's got any kind of crown, or if it's just hacksawed off.
Had the little scout rifle yrs ago. Never heard of the pistol version..doesn't mean it doesn't exist..however it could get you 14.5 yrs or a hefty fine or both
Starting at $375 sounds like a good deal for a ...........

It was never a pistol. I have seen several of the Stevens single shot rifles converted to pistols over the years. These all sold at public auctions. I never heard of anyone being arrested for it but I guess it could happen.
This might be splitting hairs but since that never had a serial # to begin with how could you ever prove it wasn't originally built as a pistol. Say as a side project by a factory worker.
Thanks for the comments. I've had several Little Scouts over the years but none were pistols.
No barrel this time around.
