Turned in to the Sherriff's ofc by the neighbor...
Enjoy! C&P...
"Hello, is this the Sheriff's Office?"
"Yes. What can I do for you?"
"I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith. He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood!"
"Go on..."
" Well... I don't quite know how he gets it inside them dang logs, but he's hidin' it there."
"Thank you very much for the call, sir."
The next day, the Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.
Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house... "Ring Ring"... "Ring Ring"... "Ring Ring"...
"Hello?"
"Hey, Virgil! This here's Floyd. Did the Sheriff come to y'er place?"
"Yeah!"
"Did they chop your firewood?"
"Yep!"
"Happy Birthday, buddy!" 🤣

An oldie but a goodie!
Happy Birthday Virgil
I heard the same joke, but it was his son in prison that called the Sheriff.

and the treasure was buried in the garden . . . so they came out to dig it up - which made it easier to plant the potatoes.
Any time you can get an "authority" do something good for ya...
... chop Wood
... dig the garden
... till up the weeds
it's a good day!
Nice to see you posting Robert!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Been busier than a three legged man in a xxx whoppin' contest. Recently had to start figuring out this retirement junk...
Got forced out about two years early, but now that I've been relieved of all the stress I was under, I probably would have strangled somebody and then quit anyways. It was better for me the way it turned out, got a decent severance package, took some time before working through all the retirement jive, and started going through my gun collection to sort out what I'd like to keep and what not. Plan on selling a goodly portion over the next year or so.
Been thinking about taking on some part time engineering work as a side gig, but need to hold off on anything until I get retirement stuff finalized. This is way too time consuming to get retired!
Hope to be a bit more active on the forums... so stay tuned!
