A prophecy in a news paper clipping from 1953 that's right on today.

I thought this was interesting. Mark R. Sullivan president of PT&T made a prediction about the telephone back in 1953 that was spot on. This clipping was in a video on YouTube that I took a screen shot of.

I have a similar article from 1978 or 1980 sitting in the back of my gunsafe.
It is an Interview of my Dad by the paper and my Dad correctly forecasting and explaining how the internet will work and change everyones daily lives.
Your Dad was a wise man. That was a pretty good crystal ball he was looking into because the Internet's official birthday wasn't until January 1, 1983. Even though it had been in the works for many years before I don't believe even the inventers could envision that it would become what it has today.
I have read that long before the technology existed to actually build the internet, many scientists had already anticipated the existence of worldwide networks of information. Nikola Tesla messed around with the idea of a world wireless system in the early 1900s and there were some pretty smart guys like Paul Otlet and Vannevar Bush that came up with the idea of mechanized searchable storage systems of books and media in the 30s and 40s.
I also think the space program put the world a half century ahead in technology of where it would have been today without it. And without Wernher von Braun the space program would probably not have made it to the moon for many more years if at all. If Germany had won the war Wernher and his German scientist would have had man on the moon at least 10 years earlier and they wouldn't have stopped there like the US had to for so many years. Hitler didn't have to deal with congress to get money for a program he was interested in.
I also believe given just a few more years in the 40s and the German's would have had something similar to Archimedes mirror in orbit around Earth and they wouldn't have had to fire a shot or missile of any kind to to set enemy cities on fire.
Well you can tell this is another one of my sleepless nights, just rambling on. I must have elephant genes in my blood 'cause I can't forget nor put anything behind me in order to move on. I guess I should have opted for plan B on my health insurance plan in order to get human blood transfusions during my surgery. You get what you pay for.
Did he mention any redheads ?
