USFL....caught a game in Birmingham last night. It was a LOT of fun.
I was with my aunt and my brother...we saw the B'ham Stallions play the Houston Gamblers. The tickets were $25 for two games....we didn't go to the early game. I don't even know who was playing at the early game. The seats were comfy, not small or too squished together. The way they have you come into the stadium is goofy....you have to walk up several flights of ramps to get to the top and then you go around and down into the seating. I'm guessing they have something for handicapped people that is different, I'm not sure.
They had bars and food sales around that weren't too crazy overpriced, but there are several great restaurants surrounding the stadium that were very busy before the game.....a 20-30 min wait for a table everywhere. Parking was expensive.....$20 everywhere. Altogether, you can expect to spend $100 per person pretty easily....but it was clean, not too much walking, well staffed, with lots of options to make the event pretty entertaining.
We won the game, but it was close. I like the fact that it was "anyone's guess" on what might happen throughout the game. If you get a chance you should check it out.
