I heard some noise outside last night and headed out to see what was happening.. There was a skunk digging away by my front porch steps. No safe shot at him as my neighbor's machine shed is right down range. I watched and tried to scare the thing off for about 10 minutes before it finally moved on..
After spraying the side of the porch !
I checked the back deck and it had been busy back there too. Lots of skunks around this year, I hope this is not the beginning of a long battle...I got things cleaned up and filled in....washed off the porch and filled in the holes. My bride took me out for breakfast so at least the day is now going in a better direction !

Just don't let those ole skunks ruin your day Frank! 😁
Take a pee and mark your territory😈
In the summer when we sometimes leave the windows open at night, it is impossible to go back to sleep after being awakened to the stench of a skunk that for some reason has just fired his defenses nearby. Once that stink gets in the house closing the windows doesn't help. Hopefully by morning the wind shifts and we can open the windows and air the place out. The little fellers are cute to watch waddling around in the yard, but I can do without the smell. Bob
Just part of the country😊
this is one reason I keep a 410 by the back door. Not much worry about 'downrange'.
Is that a skull in the center of the picture?
I was thinking a small alien skull.
We will never know......I buried when I filled in the hole !!!
Throw out some mothballs around the foundation. Might help. Won't hurt.
It's going to take a lot of moths to make a difference. You'll also need a lot of magnification to find them.
Glad I could help. 😁
