If you like Tuna

Unless you are buying fresh, this is as good as it gets in my opinion. I am finishing a six pack of the Garlic and wanted to try the Jalapeno, so I just got one at Walmart. It isn't cheap at a buck an ounce, but it is worth it. I just eat it right out of the glass jar.

shopping at Keesler AFB iv noticed they have a very large variety of canned fish and other sea food. i image this is because of the large Asian population on military bases. every now and again i will pick up something new to try. also a lot of Vietnamese ended up here after the war so there are lots of Asian markets here with lots of interesting fish and other offerings.

...Bleh...cant imagine eating any type of fish that comes out of a jar, especially olive oil, yuck...might as well eat some of that Gefilte fish that comes in a jar, nasty!...

...Salmon, grilled or smoked only...Salmon isnt my go to fish regardless of how its prepared...lots of other really good fish to catch, choose from...

That stuff is pretty good (the plain ones). Throw it in some red sauce and mix it in to angel hair. Makes a pretty good eats.

I have always been leery of meat, fish, poultry, that has been pre-marinated for point of purchase. Learned from my wife who once worked in the meat department of a large local grocery store. The store would take products at expiration or just about to expire and turn them into "other stuff" aka meat salads, marinated, stuffed pork chops, and chicken products.

The old fish would either get smoked or pickled up with spices added.

With this tuna product being produced hopefully directly from catch to processing, I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try however. I enjoy lots of stuff like this all the time.

Now I have got a craving for some creamed herring!!
