I just got my moderator welcome package and a check for a yeas service. Now I've never intended to make any $$$ by doing this so I will put it up for a giveaway. I intended to 'cash' the check and give $10,000 to each of 10 winners but as I was standing in line at the bank a nice man asked what I was doing. After I told him, he said "I can do that for you right here and save you from all the 'paper'. so I signed the check and he gave me this 100,000 note. anyway now it's just 1 winner so put your name in and I'll pull a winner next week. (cashing the 'note' is your problem 🤑)

What else you got? Don
WOW! What a man, what a moderator, what a human being. Please put me in. The baby needs new shoes.
No thanks. It would just put me in a higher tax bracket.
Generosity at it's best. Hope it goes to a worthy winner.
Heck yeah.......I'm in for 100K.....
100K of anything has to be good right?
What a generous offer. I knew they picked the right person for the job. Don't put me in because I already have the next toilet paper shortage covered. 🤗 Bob
I have taken so many IQ tests showing pictures of very old famous guys that I must also decline your generous offer Mike.
I will just take a wild guess that the guy on your big $$ note is either Nicolaus Copernicus, or that Swedish music sensation male member of Abba. 😁
I think I got one better ,will dig around ,I think it is a billion dollar bill. I find it I will give it away also.
Please throw me in, I like that old money LOL

Both good guesses, but I think it's actually Georg Gisze.
Portrait of the Merchant Georg Gisze of Danzig was Holbein's first important painting for the Hanseatic League. The well-bred Georg Gisze (1497-1562), originally from Cologne, was an active member of the League who was stationed in London until 1535, when he returned to his home city of Danzig (Gdansk, Poland) where he married Christine Kruger. It seems likely that Gisze commissioned the portrait following his betrothal and in anticipation of the marriage to come.
I'd enter, but somewhere in the mod handbook i'm pretty sure I read it's against the rules for a mod to enter another moderator's giveaway.....
HPD, you are the Senior Moderator... go for it!
thanks for the give away don't add me in
but just wanted to say good on you
I'm in... going toward another Corvette
thanks for the offer, I'll tell the grandkids its their inheritance..............
If this trend keeps up, we are going to have more moderators than peons. 😲

If you don't mind put me in too..
Wait...is this another one of those non-give-away give-aways? I didn't win one of those once.
"Wait...is this another one of those non-give-away give-aways?"........nope, the winner will get the pictured bank note.
winner, winner
I put all the names in a hat (including commentors) and...................Ikannes is the winner
pm me your addy and I get it in the mail
Surely you are going to send that by armored truck, right?
Ikannes: So many big winners have been crushed by the weight of their new-found wealth. Recommend you get with a financial advisor and chart a course through this turbulent time. Consider paying it forward and holding multiple giveaways of a lesser amount...say a handful of $1000 giveaways? Just a thought, but it may help you sleep better.
I recieved the grand prize on Friday. I may retire on Monday. Thank you for making dreams come true! Seriously, a 100 year old bill is cool!
That is cool. WTG.
Just make sure you don't deposit that bill into your bank account. Any deposits over 600 dollars get reported to the IRS! 😁
While some people might think that IRS is so backlogged with tax returns in 2022 that they might be able to dodge a bullet and avoid filing and paying taxes. But that’s where they are wrong. The IRS can sniff out the dollars that belong to them. And sooner or later, they will rear their heads and come to collect what is theirs.
Even in the absence of a tax return, the IRS can determine if you owe taxes by the income that was reported to them by others. Using this information the IRS can file a tax return for you, without any deductions and file you as single at the highest tax rate, regardless of your marital status or deductions. The first step of the IRS recovering unpaid taxes is the IRS will send you a notice to file your return or they will file for you. Once the IRS files the return, they will send you a bill for the balance you owe.
