New "The Batman" movie

Not bad little darker (noir), less gagety than Nolan trilogy. I was expecting "Twilight" glittery Batman (silly like 90s Batman with nipples). Also they packed in lots of villains in the 3 hour saga like they knew they weren't gonna make number 2 (think "Jurassic Park 2").

Went to it in theaters. Not a fan of this particular "batman" actor but was a decent movie.
What I thought was funny was that whole opening monologue about criminals fearing the dark because they were all afraid of batman and they never knew where he was going to be...then cuts into that gang with the painted faces causing trouble. Batman comes walking down the fire escape and the head gang member asks "Who are you supposed to be?"
Now I have a hard time believing after that impressive monologue that a gang of thugs wouldn't know who the prominent crime fighting vigilante dressed as a bat was when he shows up.
Watched it last week, I wasn't impressed...
I tried to start watching it , but I guess not in the mood to watch a mostly dark screen movie so I will try again later
I still only watch Adam West and Burt Ward Batman shows. Comedy at its best!
I think Heath Ledger's "Joker" portrayal in "The Dark Knight" elevated the super hero genre to mainstream film artistry. Ledger's colloquy in the gangster roundtable scene almost matches that of Hopper's and Walken's in "True Romance". Have not seen (and likely won't see) the new "Batman" film, but think it has a very high bar to reach Ledger's 2008 performance.
I feel sorry for you guys that actually spend your time and money watching these Hollywood "superhero" movies.
Ouch. And I was going to invite you to go bowling. Not any more.
I have to agree with Brookwood.
