Legalities of selling a Colt's pen-style tear gas projector/launcher
Have a cute little tear gas gun which was made late 1960s-early 1970s so far as I can tell. I'm selling only the launcher, don't have the pocket clip or the tear gas "canisters".
It's not a firearm, to be sure. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that there are fifty states and I don't have the patience to look up each state's criminal code on possessing such a "weapon", not to mention the cities and county's laws!
I'm already going to assume that such a thing is verboten in New Jersey, New York, New England and perhaps some other Leftist states.
Anybody got any ideas for making my research easier? I really don't want to have some DOJ undercover agent sting me.
And yes, I'm going to demand that my customer show me proof of being 21 years of age or older...
Thanks for your input,
Steve in Arizona

Thanks, Mac. Still trying to get an answer to my question...
This post reminded me I had a Colt flare gun like that and I'll have to sell it someday. I figure I will take it to a local gun show.
