A 9mm will completely blow out a Fridgidaire
select-fire

Had to shoot it up.. started with the Keltec p17 and solid .22's ... They would penetrate the door but not exit the door at 25 yd. So I stepped it up to CCI Velocitors at the same distance. Same results. Then the 10/22 Target with a 20" barrel at 50 yd. They went thru the door and into the back plastic inside but no exit.
Then oBidens deadly 9mm with 124 ball ammo out of my Ruger 3" LC9 at 25 yd. Went plum thru the whole thing.

So you are saying not to hide behind the refrigerator if the guy shooting at you has a 9mm? What if he has a 45? Bob
No clue...I don't own a .45 No use to try the .40 or 10mm. They will easily go thru . Next up is a snub .38 tomorrow
But who has an empty fridge? Test it with a load of beer, milk, cottage cheese, leftover pizza, ketchup, and everything else most people stuff in one.
Had an Ithaca Mag-10 Road Blocker that could play kick the can with a 12 cubic foot Amana.
Going to retest my 500 zero tomorrow with the .300 Win Mag. Have an old washer behind the freezer to slow it down
38 Snub. 25 yd. 158gr fmj Norma training ammo. Pretty hot stuff. Went thru door and almost made it completely thru but cracked the metal but no exit.. a large bulge in the metal
@DancesWithSheep You're right. A Mag 10 will kick your can as well.
Even weighing 10 1/2 pounds, it knocked me on my can a couple times. Hard to keep balance through three rapid shots. Always thought that gun should have been classified a Class II Destructive Device.
I guess my SP-10 with 3 1/2 loaded with #9 TSS is a destructive device for sure.
I hope you had a VERY good backstop behind that fridge. 9mm won't stop for 25 miles!😁
What IF.......you shoot it with an AR-15 assault rifle WITH 9mm ammo!?! I bet the fridge would simply implode, esp if you have those damage enhancers like....pistol grip, barrel shroud, or a flash suppressor.
PS. Please don't attempt the at and 9mm combo because it will simply be too dangerous for mere humans!😁
You dont live in town do you?
I shot a 1967 ford fairlane once with a 45ACP. Went through the trunk lid, through the rear seat frame and rear seat, through the front seat, through the dash and was lodged in the firewall.
And if you remember, cars back then were made of metal, not a lot of thin sheet metal and plastic. Ya, I will stick with my 45.
I recall posting the penetration test with the bladder tanks. Everything penetrated but the .45acp. It just made a huge dent on the entry.
When I shot that old fairlane I was using FMJ 230 gr. bullets. Velocity was around 850 to 875 fps. Not sure what a badder tank is, and I don’t remember reading your article on penetration. I would be interested in hearing what a badder tank is, and caliber and type bullet and velocity you were using.
