That RG needs to go in the spot next to my Jennings
LOL
A local guy had me pick up a LARGE pile of total crap one day. He is a friend, so I told him I'd do what I could to move this stuff (the junkers, not the Hi Powers). He is in his 70s and told me a story about this pile of garbage. He was a teenager and was out with his father somewhere when they stopped in this gas station. He saw a gun on the wall and asked if he could buy it. He came out and asked his dad to go in and buy it for him and he would pay him back when they got home because he didn't have his money with him. The dad went inside and when he came out they were carrying a bunch of guns.....they filled the trunck full of crazy mess, black powder, flint locks, pin fire, muzzle loaders, and in the mix were a few gems. Before they were done, the trunk was full and the back end of the car was nearly dragging the ground. He's had this pile of nonsense for the past 50 years....of course, it was his fathers stuff until it became his. None of it has ever been wiped down, checked out or fired by either of them. Who knows the story of how it made it to this gas station in the 60's. I've picked up two piles of it so far and I get a bit here and there listed as I can. So, when you see a broken piece of garbage running imagine a boy asking his dad to run in the gas station and buy a gun for him and his dad coming out having bought EVERYTHING.
Thank you for the plug!
