My wife and I just spent half an hour in the basement waiting for the tornado to blow by. Much ado about nothing. 😁

Sometimes "nothing" is the best alternative!😁 Bob

😲
I did not even know
but glad it turned out on the good side for all
I just went to the local news web site were right on the logan county, Champaign area ,the road dividing the two county's is 1/4 mile south of me
That's the best outcome, I suspect.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Safe than sorry
well just down the interstate from us not so lucky
Amazon + others buildings not so much
sounds like no major injury's good news on that
We had to go back down for another tornado warning and another severe thunderstorm warning. It's all blown over now and all is quiet once again.

PS, In all the excitement last night I forgot to save this. 😆
the local sirens were going off a lot of wind and heavy rain but lucky nothing real bad
my history with storms here not so good here
many years ago maybe 25 we had one tornado ( supposed come thru ) I was up stairs looking out the window both my sons just young little fellows were saying dad lets go to the basement come on its getting bad I said go ahead at the time I could see the shingles on the 1st level roof standing up and being torn away .. I said well if gets bad I will .. ( dummy ) it took off a big section of our barn roof same time . they still remind me of that day
as for my old barn I gave up we had two big storms come thru different years tore off a big section of the roof as above mentioned . repaired it a another year lost a corner and part of a wall well repaired it . then a couple years later lightning got it on the south west side . so same repaired it then a few years later the north west side lightning got it again even worse . that time I thought I had already dropped the insurance on it any way so I just took it all the way down it was about 40 x60 and 25 feet tall give or take very old barn . I thought some thing just does not like us having that barn LOL . I did find out I had not canceled the insurance but it was just a small amount any way coverage
as for our house the storm I was talking about took off a lot of shingles from the house our insurance company came out and cut a check that covered close to having a whole new roof put on so we did that in place of just patching it a couple years later lightning took out a chimney that had been added on at some point maybe for a wood stove and p[art of it hit the roof oh boy
lucky for the last 20 years or so we have avoided any thing bad . but we had also planted a lot of trees before that our house was the tallest thing and sitting on top of the little knoll in the area . the trees have taken a beating some years though better them than the house or out buildings
