As many here know I am a volunteer fireman. Yesterday several members of a sister department were injured in a brush fire that caused a shipping container full of commercial fireworks to explode . The property owner died from injuries received during the blast . 3 fireman were rushed to the hospital . One was airlifted to the Chapel Hill burn center . All prayers would be appreciated.

The conex shipping container .
Any word on the injured?
All except the burn victim are home and doing well . He remains in the burn center at Chapel Hill reported to be stable
Prayers for that gent, and any First Responder anywhere. I have over 50 years working with Commercial and Military high explosives, certified to teach in that field- and fireworks scare the hell out of me.
Back in 2011 company was disposing of illegal seized fireworks at a facility in Hawai'i. Had a whoops. 5 dead. All of the quality control that goes into commercial explosives- yeah it ain't there with fireworks. Least bit of static or friction will ignite flash powder.
Prayers for all the volunteers.
They risk their well being and provide a service that we could never afford.
Chme, my son from another family , a yougun I raised on halves as they say, was a EOD tech in the army . He has taught me a bunch about this I didn't know . Takes a lot of nerve to do .
Burns are about the worst injury you can get. Very painful for a very long time. Horrible.
