It's always something

I've been having knee pain for some time now, so I finally went to see my Dr. today. He gave me a slip for X-rays, so I'll probably go tomorrow or the next day depending on when I can get my hair cut, that way I only have to make one trip to town. Dr thinks I have arthritis in the joint. 😕

Quercetin is your friend! It is a natural anti inflammatory and helps my worn out back a LOT. Ask ur dr about it, cause if you have kidney issues, then you need to monitor it. Its safe, but like everything(including tylenol) diff for diff people. Get the clear from the doc and try it out. Will prob take a few weeks to notice, but it helps me and my brother in law. Worth a try before getting the knife!

im kinda ate-up with arthritis mostly in my hands and believe me when i say " i feel your pain". i pretty much dont treat it with anything other than some anti inflammatory, i do get an injection in my left knee every couple of years. on my left hand only my thumb and third finger have any real range of motion left. my neighbor has had his knees replaced and from that procedure, the rehab and the problems he still has im not sure it is worth getting really aggressive with treatment. as others say here YMMV. my doc says years of hard work and injuries take their toll.

I take turmeric/curcumin with black pepper which helps my aches and pains. If I stop taking it I feel the hitches in my get along.

Welcome to the club Bubba Jr. I initially got arthritis in my hands 15 years ago. I had to quit riding because while I could squeeze the clutch with no problem but couldn't let go smoothly.

It's too late for me, save yourself.

I too feel your pain Bubba! I've undergone the knife 3 times in 3 different decades for lower back injuries. The last back in 08 installed a titanium cage to stabilize\conjoin three vertebrae.

I still have bouts of sciatica that runs from my back to the tip of the toes in the right leg. A day or so of strict rest usually takes the pain away for a while until I go and do something I shouldn't.

On the bright side, I can still manage to do a good days work. It just takes me about a week and a half to do it! 😁

I wish you all the best with your medical exams and hope you get back up and running with minimal invasiveness to your body!

Well I got my hair cut, then went to the hospital and got 2 X-rays. I'll have to wait until my Dr. looks at the X-rays to see what's next. Yesterday my right elbow ached all day and today. I guess my whole right side is heading for replacement.

Both knees replaced in 2020. I was bone to bone on both sides, could barely walk to the mailbox and back without taking pain pills. Did one in Feb., the other in July, followed the PT faithfully (VERY important). Now I walk at least 5 miles a week and am lovin' it!

I got a call from the Dr's office. She said that I have some arthritis in my knee joint and if Tylenol doesn't fix it, they will set me up with an orthopedic surgeon for a consult. I guess that's better than a knee replacement. Man it sucks getting old.
