My second daughter and her husband have not had any children so they decided it was adventure time!! Since both of them are school teachers they decided to teach school in an area that has trouble hiring teachers for reasons like remoteness, etc.
There may be areas of Alaska more remote than Togiak but I don't hardly see how! It will be interesting just getting there!! I'm so proud of the two of them going somewhere where they can make a difference!! I've got a great kid and a great son-in-law! I am so blessed!

Good luck to them, filling a need.
Well I wish them all the best. I hope they have experienced some semi-serious remoteness. Serious long time remoteness is managed well by very few. That being said, I hope they have a blast.
They are two of the easiest dogs to hunt with I have ever been around!! If anyone can handle remoteness these two can handle it. Having said that, I'm going to make a prediction. At the end of the school year, either they will be signing on for another year because of all the friends they have made or they wont be able to get out of there fast enough!! 😁
I hope they take a lot of money, everything is very expensive up there. But on the other side the native population is also very generous. If they can stay warm, they will have it made. 😁

Wow. "Adventure" is somewhat of an understatement. Tell them both to bring their longjohns!
Read a book / article by a woman who did this . She detailed her year in a remote village . Only an occasional airplane . Supplies were ordered ,delivered by boat once a year. Travel was by dog sled or snowmobile . Too dang cold for me .
I had to go put a coat on just to look at the pictures. 🎅🤶
They're young and will probably do fine and have some memories, good or bad, to tell their kids and grandkids someday should they decide to raise a family.
They are childless, not for lack of trying. Getting towards 40 and decided it was time for an adventure. I will be kind of surprised if this adventure is not followed by a few more adventures over the next 10 years.
If they still have student loans , Alaska is one of the States the has a forgiveness plan if working in some Remote areas,
I have no idea if either one of them has any student loan debt but I will tell them about this. Thanks for the info!!
