Just sending this out there so anyone near this route who wants me to pick up from them can make plans now. Right now, I'm planning on being in Louisiana for my first stop after lunch, then on to Texas.

My email is mckaygunsales@gmail.com if you want to touch base with me directly.

Baton Rouge to Houston. By God I know that road. I 10.

I ran that road about 650 times in the big rig. Pull in there at exit 115 and go north one mile to Crawfishtown*. Great Cajun cooking.

*they have parking for 18 wheelers

Oops I see it is now called CTUSA Market. Get the fried crawfish platter, you can't get crawfish in Birmingham. Bring a big cooler, you can buy crawfish to go, frozen, all bagged up, by the pound. Dammit I just love that crawfish. Can't, sadly, get it here in the NC mountains either.

They catch them in season and freeze them.
