It is a good thing my feelings are not easily hurt............
Decided to take a run to an indoor range yesterday and sight in a new dot sight. I am feeling good, looking forward to a fun time with some friends and shooting a few firearms. I came to a busy intersection and when the light changed, I moved forward. Less than 75 yards is a second intersection and that light turned green as I got closer to it. There was a van in front of me and maybe 20 yards ahead. It slowly rolled through the intersection and I was watching it.
Luckily I was not in a hurry, as this is a busy area of the city. This is a four lane major artery through that area of town.. I saw a 10-12 year old kid roll out near the 2nd intersection. He paused and just rolled right out in front of me without looking.. I Locked them up and hit the horn. It was at that point he became aware of my presence as his wide eyes 6 feet from the front of my truck showed. He peddled on past, turned and looked me in the eye and flipped me off....
The funny thing was the vehicle in front of me must of thought I was honking at them and both the driver and passenger flipped me off...
I chuckled to myself and was just thankful I didn't make a road patch of the kid....I hope he made it where he was headed as was not paying attention to where he was ! The folks in the van, not too sure about them either.

Those are the kind of events that give your heart a marathon workout without running in a race!
Glad you are in good enough physical shape to withstand that incident Fred, and very happy that dumb kid still remains healthy. At least for now.
Glad nothing escalated. In most of our major cities that would have ended with gunfire...from a pistolla held sideways.
"feelings are not easily hurt", yeah hanging around this place does that to us.
