A Little Levity
This is one of those preacher's stories, I heard a couple Sundays ago.
Four-year-old Tommy was working very hard at becoming responsible. So when he spilled his glass of juice on the floor he told his mom he wanted to clean it up, himself. He spilled it and he should clean it up. “Alright”, said Mom, “there's a mop on the back porch, just outside the door.” As Tommy approached the door he saw it was dark outside, and he was afraid of the dark. With hanging head, he went back to Mom and explained the situation, “There's no need to be afraid”, said Mom. “Jesus is always with us, and he'll be with you on the back porch, too.” So, Tommy reluctantly went to the back door and carefully cracked it open. “Jesus”, he said in a small wavering voice, “would you please hand in that mop out there?”
