Nice I might just buy a ticket
Comments
Going to play..... feeling lucky
i bought 5 tickets , too the money from the beer budget. i wasnt gong to fool with it for a measly 800 mil. but after it went above 1 bil. i thought why not?
Save yalls $2 for a piece of gum. I got this in the bag! 😁
Would be nice to wake up a billionaire.
Friday is my birthday, so I'm looking forward to a $1 billion birthday present.
My issue with this is the utter stupidity of most people. By that I mean, there was polling done to see if people wanted insane odds of winning a huge amout or the possibility of more people winning a share of a huge pot. The polling showed people wanted a huge pot with fewer winners. I would think a thousand winners splitting 1.2 Billion would get people to think about odds. But, alas the people that can not name their senators, know who we fought in WWII want impossible odds as their way to financial comfort.
Ya just can't fix stupid. If $10,000,000.00 bucks can't make you secure $1,200,000,000.00 is not going to help much with your thinking processes.
Oh, I will buy one ticket, I will just skip lunch to buy it and spend the same as I do every day.
Your lunch is only $2. What are you eating....saltine crackers?
Well it would be nice to win and no complaints if I do my family would be set for life
as for me it would be great if I was about 20 years old and win not 65 But i will gladly take what I can get lol
I Would do a give away on here that would be legendary even better than the no giveaway,, giveaway
After giving away a mobile home in my mobile home park more than once... the public always wanted more. After i decided whom qualified with a mob of folks outside... I announced... then someone spoke up.... what other ones can we have? Never fails folks expect more. In reality we have more than we need. IF I were to win most of the money would go to charity.
I volunteer to be your charity case! 😁
Now over a Carl Sagan.
One could not spend that much money wisely but i would die trying. I will most likely lose that same amount in the next drawing.🤑
I did see a few days ago the owner of a chicken fast food place bought 50K in tickets and said if one of them wins he will split between all the employees . nice offer
here is a link to the first post I found when searching
wonder if he will repeat the same deal now
Why bother being wise with a BILLION dollars? LOL. I could have a LOT of fun and help a lot of people too. Would be a nice problem trying to figure out how to get it in an insured bank account(s)
my son is a math proffessor at WVU, he had some other proffessors over once for a cookout we were at and they got to talking about the odds of winning the lottery and each was giving their own reason and how high the odds were and I walked over and said " I don't know what you are argueing about the odds are 50/50 , you will either win or lose " should have seen the looks I got from that bunch of math genuises...........
No way in Hell I'd want to win that much, the publicity alone would kill the average person, that is if some person didn't. I'm happy just being me 😊.

Well maybe only a half a Sagan - after all his quote was billions and billions!😁
Still, nothing to sneeze at and I'll probably succumb to greed and buy a ticket. The chances of winning may be on the miniscule side of slim, but are nonexistent if I don't play. If I win the beer is on me, but only the inexpensive domestic stuff because I have been accused of being on the frugal side of cheap. Hey, it's the thought that counts! Bob
Met a man and his wife a few years ago. General conversation, I asked them what brought them to this area. Looking for a home where the bums might not find them, ie, family, cousins, charities and rank strangers. They had won one of the Virginia lotteries right after it had started.
I read an article about loss of tax revenue in the VA, one area in specific. The bean counters figured it out. Folks were buying lottery tickets instead of " taxable goods". Go figure and remember it is for the children.
I have been given thought on what I would do if I were to win this much money, as it would change one’s life for sure. My plan would be, spend the first half on wine woman and song, and the other half foolishly.
I reckon if I won I could make that pittance work.
Not pizzing in the punch but the feds and state will take about half of it plus taxes after you take the lump sum but till a tidy amount and yea, I got one maybe two tickets already and I could set up my family if the dollar stays stable, big if.
I'd spend most of it on booze and women and blow the remainder on a bass boat.
I would try and arrange a meeting with the great OZ and have him give creepy Joe a brain
...I have got this in the bag...sold my place and spent it all on tickets, I have a one in three hundred million chance to win...I like my chances...
That's very noble of you, DR!
I have a friend,in his late 50s,that has worked long, hard hours and has gotten wealthy. He told me he set up a trust for his early 30s son with 1.2 million that the son can get when he is 55 years old.
Great infomercial on the net...said to buy two tickets and I would win twice. TWO billion simoleons - dang! Am I the only one who knows about this?
Magnanimous!
As I have mentioned a few times over the years- I was the beneficiary of the Florida State Lottery.
I received a Florida Lottery scholarship available for combat veterans that paid my college tuition for both my bachelors and masters degree.
In that sense and the profound impact that gift has had on my life, you could say I believe I have already won the lottery once.
So if you buy a ticket, there is a chance some of your funds might just flow down to a good cause.
My youngest daughter benefited from 6 yrs of college (oldest daughter missed out due to the lotto not being in Georgia prior to 1994), also my 2 grandsons, 1 grand-daughter have been educated with dollars others scraped for and are already planning for more schooling. Lotto's work great for those that know the systems main purpose, not so much for the unknowing people. As Warbird say's he's already a winner as we are. Keep playing people 😊

I will buy 20 tickets tomorrow. Just wait for the Gunbroker Giveawy!!
What are you going to giveaway? I hope it is not the 20 losing tickets.😁 Bob
Tax on the mathematically challenged. Good luck.
Odds of winning...
If you were in a boat and stuck by lightening and then fell into the water and was eaten by a shark, the odds of those two things occurring one right after the other are far greater than winning this Jackpot !!! 😮
You all have fun, If I played and won, I would just get into trouble with that much money.

Yeah, but we'd have a hell of a good time, wouldn't we old buddy!?

Best of luck to all of you
One time cash take is $ 648,2 million, not bad
