Better today than I expected, and thanks for askin'! The winds were blowing mostly out of the west at the fire and it didn't appear to flare up much. Hardly any smoke today at all and we never did see a column to speak of.

Tomorrow the winds are supposed to shift and come out of the north. That would be perfect! It'd blow the fire right back into itself. They're calling it 15% contained.

Using the measuring tool on this map I figure the fire's a little over 9 miles from us yet.

Sounds like a lot, but these things can cover 10 miles pretty fast sometimes. Plus the possibility of it spitting embers out ahead of itself. I'll feel better when it's plumb out and cold!

Glad to see the slow down as such. Hang tough.

Glad you're good. We had smoke here that blew out all day yesterday so it's clear now. Not sure if it was coming from the fire in Cheney or what, but yours has about two mountain ranges to cover to get here, so it probably wasn't from y'all.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
