The era of hot rodding with a stick shift and clutch is about over, soon speed control with driver-less automation will take over, as always safety and insurance mandates for underwriting.

Stick shifts have long been a niche market in the U.S. Soon they’ll be extinct.

It is the BEST anti theft device i have ever purchased! 😁😎
There are millions of them on the highway... classic cars... street rods...

They are going to Tax Hydrocarbons so high you will not be able to drive them before it's all over,Variable speed electrical drives will be the only way to transmit rolling forces on the Federal highways. They are planning mini nuclear reactors now for use in industry. The technology has been perfected to open the bottle neck on Electrical creation.

I took my drivers' test with a 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column. Wonder just how many kids could pass the test with that these days? I have two 17 year old Grandsons who can barely handle a tractor due to lack of experience with a clutch--it's disgusting world in which we live.
I had a Hyundai Elantra with manual transmission. The transmission malfunctioned, and I tried to find a replacement. The only one I found was in Quebec, Canada.
I started out driving manual transmission cars, but don't know if I'll find another one.
I sold my 1997 Dodge RAM 2500 with manual transmission a few years back and if I had known the big 3 were going to phase out manuals I would have sure enough kept it.

I don't know if anyone else feels the same as me but in those very rare occasions that I get behind the wheel of a manual shift vehicle, I feel like a kid in a candy store!!
Brings back that FUN driving used to be when I first started some 50 years ago!
In the same vehicle, a manual transmission will get better fuel mileage than an automatic. How green is that?
That was true before the new computer driven Automatics they have now, Something about a spinning the torque converter full of fluid back in the day in an automatic,

You can manually shift an automatic with paddle shifters...
Can you double clutch in front of all the girls walking home in middle and high school days when you had too much testosterone? 😁😁

You'd be on a terminal sugar high if you spent some time in my old dump truck. Overloaded and under horsed, it's a constant changing of gears.
