This lady's husband died and he left a lot of badges and patches behind. I helped her with the guns he left, but I have no clue how to dispose of badge and patch collections.
Any thoughts?

None here.......but I am sure their are collectors. Maybe just Google police patches/badges/collectors........or some variation of that.
Some old military patches go for big money.
There used to be a fella on here that collected things like that... I thought. I want to say it was Shilowar but I wouldn't swear to it.
Put them on your table if you head to a gun show.
Speaking of Shilowar, I wonder what happened to him?
There's a tavern/cafe on Sullian's Island in S.C. called "Dunleavy's Pub". They have patches ALL over the ceilings and walls. Might try them.
Would be very interested in the badges. Post a link if you list them.
Only ones I have legally worn.

I have a Small Collection of Police and Sherrifs Badges. During a ATF inspection i was told I "Should" not display unless these are Antiques or no longer current.
Seems thieves want these as bad a Firearms.
Ground Zero had a collection at the Trade Center site.
Can I give the lady your phone number?
