I ordered over the counter stuff for my Mom this morning thru GM UAW OTC program. Seems they give retirees or their spouses an account to spend for medicine.

Humana has it too.
We get a couple of $50 prepaid cards from Blue Cross. Not sure how often because I let the boss handle them. Bob
Isn't that sweet... We get 50 bucks each a quarter
when I retired (or left my old place of employment ) the company had put together a package to help get us out the door LOL
part of a one time offer was they would give any one who took the deal a I think its 10k medical account for us to use for any medical procedure bill , or visit , prescription's . and so on . we just have to send them the receipt where we paid and they will repay us up to the limit of course . not like having a open end program but better than most
select-fire, she has free legal help too. I retired 06/1992 and my free medical was taken away a few years later. GM gave us a permanent increase in our monthly pension though. In 92 GM wanted to get rid of 30,000 salaried employees. You had to have 20+ years in and be 52 years old in calendar 92. I was just 51 when I left. My manager couldn't believe it! They boosted our monthly pension plus gave us our social security. The SS was taken away when I turned 62 so if I applied my monthly income would be the same. I had the best job of my life starting in 94 so didn't apply until full retirement age without penalty. I retired again in 2012 and formed an s-corp. I'll probably work until they carry me away.
Mom still draws Dads pension from 1978 and his benefits.
