shooting a 55 grain 223 at 50 yards. i have it dead on with a 4 shot group the size of a nickel.
how much should i increase the elevation to be 1" high at 100 yards

It depends on the height of your scope above the bore. It may already be at least an inch high at a hundred with a relatively low mounted scope. Higher mts. may have you hitting a bit higher than that.

Well......lots to consider here! My SWAG(scientific wild @ guess) would be 3 clicks up. At 50 yards, that 223 is still gaining in upwards arch.
Take a shot at 100 the way it is and adjust .
THANKS
You are welcome. Don
No matter what he math says, the only true way is shoot it.
Hold dead on at 100, fire a few rounds and adjust accordingly. Same for any range.
I use this site... gets you real real close...

Just guessing a 50 yard zero will put you about 3-4" high @ 100 with medium ring mounted scope and higher than that if using standard AR iron sights.
