Finally got out and got the boat on the water and managed to catch my first fish as a Montana resident. It was an absolutely beautiful 16" rainbow trout, gorgeous colors on it. Probably one of the prettiest fish I've ever seen.

Nope, didn't get a picture. I took the hook out and it spit out of my hand like a watermelon seed. Phhttt! Gone! LOL!

We found a swim ladder for dogs and tried it out this trip. It hooks over the transom and has braces that hold it out at about a 45 degree angle. It's called 'Wag boarding steps' and it works slick as can be. It literally creates a staircase at the back of the boat that the dogs swims up to and then walks up and into the boat. Loki caught on the first time I guided him to it.
