How About These? Winchester Model 70 Auctions

nunnnunn Forums Admins, Member, Moderator Posts: 36,085 ******

I mostly handle normal garden variety guns, but every so often, I get something a little special. Have I described these accurately? Is there any information I should add? I'm pretty sure I'll need to adjust the opening bid and buy now price down some.

Thanks in advance!

I know this one is a fairly late model, but I don't know how late. And is it a Super Grade?

This one is pretty but strange. It has apparently been re-chambered to .35 Whelen. It was made in 1954, and I don't think the .35 Whelen was offered as a factory round back them. Finish is matte black. I'm unsure whether it is black oxide or Cerakote. How about this one? Is it a Super Grade?

Thanks!

The 35 Whelan looks like a super grade but the 375 might be a safari express. The threading on the 375 may have been for the B.O.S.S., a combination barrel tuner and muzzle break. That one almost makes me wish I was left handed! Bob

35 wheel was my favorite for years. Lots of 357 bullets down the tube backed by 15 gr of 2400

That was on. a ruger 77 action custom barrel.

David, First one is definitely not a super grade. I would have to examine the second one but from the picture it appears to be a super grade with many modifications which extremely hurts the value.
