Hill Country Rifles Question

nunnnunn Forums Admins, Member, Moderator Posts: 36,084 ******

I have this rifle in hand:

It is marked "Hill Country Rifles" on the barrel and is chambered for .270 WSM. It is obviously a Winchester Model 70 action, but it's a custom job, and may have been re-barreled.

Hill Country Rifles is a real deal, and they build some very expensive rifles, but I don't see one like this in their catalog.

Rings and bases are Talley.

Any idea when it was built, or what it should sell for?

You might have to contact the company. I am sure they keep records of all their work. I see their accurizing packages start at about $2200 bucks so that rifle should bring a pretty penny. Did this come from the same place as the left handed 375? Whoever had them has excellent taste! Bob

I have contacted the company, and probably should have stated so. No answer yet.

It appears that Hill Country Rifles marks their work, and the .375 is not so marked, so I doubt it came from their shop.
