I had a similar incident happen to me when I was 11. We were at a Busch Stadium in 1970 for a Cub/Cardinal game. The Cubs were taking batting practice and Billy Williams was at the plate. In the outfield was utility player/back up catcher JC Martin shagging balls. I was back in open area near the Right field foul pole. I was wearing my Cub Hat and T shirt and was talking to JC Martin off and on. Williams hit a fly ball and Martin caught it. He turned and tossed it to me. I dropped it and as I reached for it an adult pushed me to the floor, took the ball and ran. No one else was there and JC Martin had run back to the dugout while it occurred. I was one sad kid that day !!!!

...If I'd caught that ball, it would have been intended for one of my grand kids...
...I would have picked it up after the guy that grabbed it from me, dropped it....which was right after I broke his face...that type of attitude needs a butt kickin' adjustment...to make him realize he shouldn't have done that...what BS...
