about dodge doing away with their "muscle" car lineup and possibly the V8's? If this happens who will make the cop cars, not many rear wheel drive v8's left, maybe Kia will come up with one. Or they can use that fast tesla, as long as they don't get in a car chase............

The technology is already in place. Eventually they won't be doing any chasing. They'll just flip the switch on the car that's trying to get away and leave him dead in the water.
The future brings the honor system.. When a criminal goes bad.. they will turn themselves in or possible loose all benefits given to them by the govt.
The police will/are use/using SUVs. Explorers, Durangos, etc….
I see a lot of small towns using Chevy Tahoes. It seemed strange that town with the smallest budget are using what is probably the most expensive police vehicles.
Police Tahoes are a plain jane vehicle. No bell and whistles
