Clover is Gone

Yesterday, the longest lived (so far) of the beagle line I started in the 90's died peacefully in her sleep at 16 years old, surrounded by her people and pack members . The weird thing is that she died almost to the hour on her birthday, and both mornings were dark and stormy. She chose my eldest daughter from the time she was weaned and stayed with her until the end. For those dog lovers on here (and I know there are some), the full story and a picture is available on the blog at the link below..

So sorry for your loss, Ranger. 16 years is a great run and I can tell from your post that she was well cared for and loved.
She'll be there waiting for you.
Sorry for your loss
Sorry for your loss....
So sorry for your loss, dogs are special people.
God bless her, so very sorry for your loss.
Sorry to hear of this, seems like she was a great family member.
Dogs are mans best friend as long as they are given the chance to be.
the loss of such a friend is very hard to take, I have lost several over the years and it
only gets harder to lose them, mine are regularly on my mind with all the good times they brought
to our household.
I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
Dogs are not our whole life,
but they make our lives whole.

Sorry for your loss. Rainbow Bridge.
So sorry for your loss.....those of us with dogs as a major part of their lives feel your pain and understand what a loss it is.
So very sorry for your loss tnranger. They sure do get under your skin.
Thanks all for the thoughts and condolences. I'll pass them on to my daughter. Clover was her dog, but I delivered her with my own hands and thought of her as my "grand dog". 16 years is a long life for a dog, but we're never quite ready to let the good ones go,
