It occurs to me that if there was ever a time for Britain to divest itself of this antiquated and purposeless royalty system, her death would be it. It would be most fitting for her to be the longest and last one.

I heard the news say her ( the queens ) procedure was planned back around 1962 on what is to happen and procedures to be followed

I did read they had turned most all of it over the government but the queen still received 25% of all royalties made off of the property something like 25 million a year .
