I doubt it had anything to do with a knife, Swiss Army or otherwise. He was local to me and I don't recall anything in the news about his office catching fire. I do, however, remember reading about this:

Oh, and the cause of the fire is "undetermined."

HCSO: 911 call leads to drug arrest
On Tuesday, July 4th, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a call regarding a male acting suspicious with his neighbor at the 3100 block of Shady Lane.
Deputies were told that James Matt Cummings, 58, knocked on a neighbor’s door and gave them a drug pipe.
Deputies contacted Cummings and found him in possession of 2.4 grams of meth.
Cummings was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, which is a felony 3 charge with a bond of $10,000.
James Matt Cummings is a local attorney for Granbury. His website states that he specializes in Family Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injury cases and DWI cases. Cummings is a Texas Tech graduate and has practiced law since 1996. He has been established as an attorney in Granbury since 2001, according to www.mattcummingslaw.com.
Cummings is currently out of jail at press time.
