But it all turned out good so far !!!!
I sent a Ruger LCRx revolver back to Ruger a couple weeks back. I received notice I had a package set to arrive today via UPS from Ruger. I figured great, they figured it out quickly and I can try it out tomorrow. I made sure to be around for the delivery. I checked tracking around noon or so and it said it had been delivered.
Sure enough there was a package on the front porch....a beat up package that made noise when I picked it up. I thought well that is weird, I thought you had to sign for the return of a firearm. Headed inside and cut a seam that looked like it had been taped twice.... I reached inside and the case was not latched and it was EMPTY !!!! CRAP my first thought was I had been ripped off....Checked the invoice and it said they returned the CASE I mailed the LCRx in ! Called Customer Service and checked to make sure they still had the revolver... It is there and will be shipped likely in the next few weeks when finished. The nice customer service lady said they do not have enough storage area to keep other things mailed to them....so they sent my old case back !
My heart rate is back to normal now, but it sure did get me going.... I am looking forward to hearing what the issue was and getting the darn thing back...

Similar thing happened when we were gonna ship my wife's SR-9, the person I spoke to to get a return label told us to only ship the gun, no case or accessories else they will just send them back without the gun.
I was likely told the same thing.. I grabbed a beat up old hard case that I never expected to see again..Just seemed weird to mail it just wrapped up in bubble wrap... It was nice of them to return it, the shipping was at least 20 times what the case is worth.
Well did you thank them for the new case the gun will be mailed back in?
