Would mayor Pete tell them to charge it where? The lines leaving are huge and I for one would not want to depend on an EV with the pace of the vehicles now as fast 3 legged turtle.
I can see a Hybrid, my SOL has one and it is nice-

Earth to Grasshopper. Hello.
You put two, five gallon cans of electricity in the trunk and off you go.
same thing with a blizzard and sliding off road, how long will the batteries keep heater going before you freeze to death????
If you strap a 5KW gen set to the roof and a big cord to the charger you might add ten miles to the charge before the generator runs out of gas.
Would they use much juice just sitting in traffic though?
Personally, I have nothing against EV, except that they are trying to force them on us.
Now, trying to escape when the water was rising during flash flooding, now that is where an EV would concern me. That could be a lot of amps to discharge. Then again, vehicles and moving water don't mix anyway.
Yeah but Florida turtles are very fast ..............
The Tesla is a beautiful thing sitting in traffic. The engines don't idle. You use no juice at all, sitting there. 86 degrees today in Venice Fla., roll the windows down and sit and wait, skip the a/c. In these conditions in a Tesla you could actually get 230 miles.
