Postage Rate increase Peak Season Pricing

Found out to day when getting packages ready to post.
Flat Rat Small Box Jumped to $9.00 up $.75 for my that 15 packages a day $11.25 I didn't count on.
The United States Postal Service regarding a temporary price adjustment for key package products for the 2022 peak holiday season. This temporary rate adjustment is similar to ones in past years that help cover extra handling costs to ensure a successful peak season. The planned peak-season pricing, would affect prices on the following commercial and retail domestic competitive parcels: Priority Mail Express (PME), Priority Mail (PM), First-Class Package Service (FCPS), Parcel Select and USPS Retail Ground. International products would be unaffected. The temporary rates would go into effect at 12 a.m. Central on Oct. 2, and remain in place until 12 a.m. Central Jan. 22, 2023.
This seasonal adjustment will bring prices for the Postal Service’s commercial and retail customers in line with competitive practices. No structural changes are planned as part of this limited pricing initiative.

Sadly shipping cost has killed a lot of smaller amount sells who wants to pay at least 10.00 to ship a item even items less than 50.00 is crazy.
Add in Amazon shipping is free if you have a prime membership most people even small businesses can not compete with that
They have to pay for all those new mail delivery vans
USPO would have to close their doors if not for junk mail and mail order catalogs.
The Net has cut them out of at least half their income.
First class has risen also, 😙 along with about all packaging. My postmaster said a small flat rate is 10.50 ! but will check will him again tomorrow. You can't mail anything for 4.00 anymore in packages. over 5 ounces.
Diplomatic Bags and internal official government mail is the reason for The U.S. post office all the rest is just gravy,

Put the blame where it belongs: Joe Biden and his DEMOCRAT congress not USPS. Mandated elect vehicles for USPS and halting domestic production of petroleum.
Same with USPS & FedEx.
