Watched news Sunday morning that USC here in Columbia beat a ranked team. USC has a below average team to say the least... Had no clue who it was till they announced that USC went to Kentucky and beat them 24-14. Coach said beating them at their home met a lot. Have to see where they fell too.. Was a mention their quarterback had a foot problem but the back up quarterback must not been too good.

Are you just a 'pokes fan, or do you live in the state too?

Grew up in midtown OKC......BSEE OSU '72..........moved to North Texas after graduation for first job. Been "mostly" here (with side "trips" to Columbia, SC and Killeen, TX) ever since.

Still have relatives in the Anadarko area.

BTW.......in college I worked a part-time job, for a year, as a desk clerk at the athletic dorm.......Iba Hall. The stories I could tell about Myron Roderick.......one hell of a coach, motivator, and racquetball player(yes.......tough-as-nails).

Cool 62vld2042. Looks like I arrived in the world as you were leaving the state. LOL

I live in the country around OKC. Been here for ~25 years. It was supposed to be a 5 year thing while I went to school and my wife got experience from her Masters degree. But, life happened and here we are. My wife had a good career, but she has since moved to corporate and works remote only so doesn't go to the office anymore. While we aren't particularly "stuck" here for any real reason, we don't have any plans on going anywhere any time soon either. I like the people, the political climate is good, regular climate isn't bad. Only thing I dislike is sand burrs and red clay dirt.
