Got lumber?

Our neighbor had 3 trees cut down and didn't want the lumber. Mostly Pine and and an Alder. I have a friend with a sawmill and will mill what I can and the rest will be cut up for firewood. This retired life is a lot of work!

I watch "Out of the Woods" on utube and he runs a wood-mizer and cuts up logs, really interesting to watch.
Nice looking Deere. Around here pine is good for construction since your pal has a sawmill. I never burn it except in the outdoor firepit. Alder is OK but is fast burning and maybe best for starting your fire. I live on heavily wooded property and have trees die or get hit by lighting every year. Mostly oak, walnut, and elm. I've been cutting, splitting, and stacking for about 40 years here but the last couple of years I've needed help. It's still cheaper than paying for propane - especially this year. You are right, retirement sounded really good 20 years ago!
Looks like too much work
I've got two more on the ground today and three more trees coming down tomorrow. I think I may have found someone that will come take all this pine. We shall see. Would be nice to burn something else.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Make it 5 more today. Yeesh! I gotta find a buyer for this.
