I would have posted this sooner but the pot has been full of chili for the last 3 days. The best result was a combination of the powered Barkeepers Friend and the Scotch Brite pad. It took a couple of cleanings but the proof is in the picture. Thanks for all the advice. 😊

That is a good product for sure. You should be happy with that result. Cheers!

Great Job
I meant Powdered Barkeepers Friend I had also tried the Barkeepers Friend stainless steel polish but it didn't work as well.
I'm very happy this weekends chili can attest to that.😃
Glad it worked for you.
Now for the important question - beans or no beans in the chili?😀 Bob
If you add beans to chili you end up with some sort of stew. Chili does not have beans, by definition.

No beans for me... only kind I like are Jelly Beans.
Well I ain't a Texican and mom's chili always had beans. Nowadays if I have some without beans it tastes like something is missing. Without beans it becomes a hotdog topping.
To each their own. Bob
As you can see from your article, chili does not have beans.

Well actually it said the ICS, (International Chili Society) forbids beans. Further research says they do this so the beans don't mask the flavor of the meat in chili competitions. The authors of the article said they straddle the fence and have posted recipes both with and without beans. It also mentions the spread of chili across the country in the mid 1900's, both with and without beans. They also described the original no bean as a stew. So enjoy your no bean stew and I will enjoy mine with beans. Ain't it great we have choices?😋 Bob
I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole yet alone with or without noodles of some kind.
You are a wise man! Sorry I hijacked the thread, but I couldn't resist pulling some chains.😁 Bob
Well living in Texas and years ago competing in a few competitions I'm team no beans if ya gonna call it chilli, but I do also enjoy "chilli beans" on occasion, what I can't and won't accept is the stuff in Cincinnati with the cinnamon and chocolate... but then again that is another debate that has nothing to do with the cleaning of the pot!🤣
No.

Beans beans, they warm your heart.
The more you eat, the more you toot.
The more you toot, the better you feel.
So eat beans for every meal.
Pot cleaned up nice. Good job.
I guess it looked worse than it really was. So no Mo' Powa tools?
I have to agree with your take on the Cincinnati chili cinnamon has no right to be in chili.
Anyone ever use Barkeeper's Friend to clean a firearm?
