An old gentleman had a High Standard .270. If I knew that High Standard made bolt action center fire rifles, I'd forgotten. They were made on Husqvarna actions in the early 1960's. The old gentleman said he liked the rifle and was sad to let it go but was too old to "get out there, anymore". I asked him how old and he said 91. I said I'd be 85 next week and the deer had nothing to fear from me with this rifle, either, but that I had paper targets that had good reason to worry.
