Son lives in my house in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This fire was about five miles away as the crow flies. They did get a little bit of rain so hopefully it will keep the fire from reignited.
Another fire burned about 100 acres in the same general area, west of there.
There is a reason for burn bans. I really am not too concerned with agriculture burns since most fields are not in forests or near wooded areas. Most of these fires start with people burning trash.
We had a family get together this weekend and had wanted to have a bonfire. Didn't do it. Some of us have firepits and we didn't even use those to keep from taking even the slightest chance of a spark.

Our muzzleloader season starts November 4 with no appreciable rain in the forecast. They may cancel the season unless it rains.
Stay safe and hoping you get some beneficial rain soon.
