At Least 149 Killed in Stampede at Seoul Halloween Celebration (msn.com)


I have often wondered how this sort of thing can happen? Cattle stampede but I never heard of them killing themselves while doing so.

Anyone ever been in a crowded situation where you felt threatened for your life trying to get from point A to point B? Not me, ever.

    Nope, don't do crowds. I won't even go to Costco with my wife.

    Yes. When a lightning storm hit Lane stadium at Virginia Tech, August 26, 2000. Everyone left the bleachers and collected in the concourse underneath. I got my wife firmly by the hand and inched along the wall until we could exit the stadium.

    This was the game where ESPN's Lee Courso's car got struck by lightning.

    That's as fearful as I had been for a long time.

    We never went to another game.
