I traded for the 686-3 Hunter. Does anybody know anything about them? There's not a lot of information online. I've read that there's only 200 of them made. Mine is number 36. I can't find any for sale just to get an idea of what they're worth. Any information would be appreciated

Other than Lew Horton special,? pre lock ect. Retail when sold about $1150, nice piece. There is some info on the net that might help.
I believe this is a Lew Horton. It's also a pre-lock
My books say it was made in 1993 and 297 were produced. This one that sold recently;
She indicates 240 were made but a couple of other sources say 297. Either way it is a nice somewhat rare S&W. Congrats on acquiring it. Bob
Thanks Bob That's some good information .Unfortunately mine doesn't have the paperwork or the right box. I don't plan on selling it so it really don't matter
