I got back home late yesterday evening. The procedure was successful. I’m a little uncomfortable today but slowly getting better. No stairs or workout for 10 days, I can increase activity as I feel able. The Doc said I can hunt in a few weeks but to have some assistance.

Hopefully I can get some rest this weekend and start moving towards normal activities in a few days…..thank you all again ….

Sounds like good news to me. Those ablation proceedures are simple but in the heart there is always big risk. Don't push it too much. Here's to a speedy recovery.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Forget Hunting, just get better. There will be another season next year. If you do decide to go, take a partner with you. Since my heart attacks, my buddy Mike, doesn't let me hunt alone. He is always within a half mile of me and constantly checks in with a text message. Like an old mother hen, but I sure do appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. He also drags my deer out, like I'm some sort of *, but this is what friends do. God bless and get better. Oakie

That truly is good news, hope you're out rambling around that big farm and hunting in no time.

Had that procedure about six years ago and thank goodness no more Afib since. My 86 year old mother is pretty much in Afib most of the time as they have tried everything. They put a pace maker/defibrillator in about six months ago and next week they do an ablation procedure to kill the AV node and the pace maker will be the heart beat after and no more afib.

I was normal in everyway except the EP said I had three pulmonary veins and most people have four. One day I just did not feel right and checked my pulse and it was 160 BPM and it would kick in every few days and then get back to normal on its on.. I had fibulation and flutter. Both sides of the heart got ablated. I still have some nerve pain from the procedure, but no noted afib since. My sister has afib also and she is normal in everyway.

It is not a good feeling to have you heart out of rhythm. If you need and information I am very familiar with this as everybody in my family has battled it.
