It's raining. The cows and horses still have to be fed, the dogs have to still go potty outside and the wild birds still are waiting in the trees for the grain on the bird feeder.

No rain yet where I am in Michigan, but it is on the way. Two bird feeders empty but we are a bit windy with gusts predicted to 50mph. I figure if I fill the feeders, odds are it will all blow out if we get that wind, so the birds can just wait a day. Dang sunflower seeds are getting to expensive to just feed the squirrels. Bob
We got 5 or 6 inches of rain yesterday. Grays Harbor Washington.
We received less than 0.1" yesterday in central North Texas.........but it blew hard enough to wet the mail inside our closed USPS mailbox.
But we'll take ANY rain........ANY WAY we can get it!!
@62vld2042 you got more than me, it just looked like it was gonna for about half the day, but nothing... Oh and yes the wind was a beyatch!
We also need the rain. It's just hard to deal with.
On a lighter note and wonderful note "our" female Bald Eagle showed up today to start cleaning up her nest, also saw young Bald Eagle one of this years babies!!!

I am conserving water big time. My shallow well is getting low. It is a open hand dug well from 1947, thye put a nice concrete well house on top for protection. Luckily I have a commercial water supply just two miles down the hill. For 50 cents I get 250 gallons in the tank sitting on my truck and dump it into the well.
We need rain, a lot of it. I suppose we will get it as snow when the temps drop next month.
We finally got enough rain to end the burn ban that was in place for over 2 months. Happy to get the dust settled.
Snowing here.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
