The Imposter !!!

This cat has been hanging around the farm the last few months. It has a similar color, size and resembles Martha. It sneaks in and eat all her food or will be sitting in spots Martha often is in. We have wondered if it is a little mate or even Martha's mother. It runs away once it sees us.. This pic was taken from inside the house so it could not see me or it would have been gone.
I just hope it is not a female about ready to leave us a batch of kittens !
Recent pic of Martha for comparison

Sure looks like a litter mate to me!
I predict that before long you're gonna have yourself two cats...
This seems to be the normal pattern with cats. You get one. Somehow one turns into two. Two to four and on and on and on.😁
I think you already have figured it out. And agree with Neo.
God blessed you with a target.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
congrats on the new cat 😁
we currently have 12 cats ( one passed awy a few weeks ago 13 yrs old ) about 3 yrs or so ago we gained I think it was nine or ten with in a few weeks two cats we some how took in 😲 both were pregnant and with a few weeks of taking them both added greatly to the cat population .😣
we have all of the cats fixed when we get them or asap like the last group that were born here .
They multiply fast
Feral cats are a bane to song bird and other small critter populations. Once they are feral they can not be taken in or tamed. The only correct course of action is to destroy them. There is not one good thing about a feral cat, their destruction of wildlife is unmatched in nature.
I agree with bpost. They can decimate the rabbit population in short order.
We have a feral who has lived on our front porch for 9 years now. Yes, we find feathers or a squirrel tail every other month, but she keeps the vermin in check. We don't have chewed wires in our equipment. I've been working on a garden tractor & leaf vac in the driveway. Today she was all over it, came up with a mouse & went back looking for more. A Good Girl that earns her kibble & shelter.
I think it related to Martha for sure.
Feral cats are one of the worst problems where I live. I shoot them on sight.
Sure looks like Martha.
I'm not a DNA expert but I would bet money they are closely related.
well they are both cats........
One man's vermin is another man's wildlife. Feral cats are a scourge, and I have two of my own.
How's the new kitty doing? Getting closer?
It was on the porch this morning near Martha.....It boogied when I stepped out...but not as fast as usual. Going to be cold the next week or so...there are two different shelters out there for Martha, it will be interesting to see if the Imposter uses one after tomorrow.
It has usually been in our coral area where we store hay. The remaining hay was sold today and will be gone this weekend, so I figure it may move closer to us.. We shall see what happens.
Good sign. First Martha is accepting her and letting her get closer. Next Marth will show her, that her people is where the food comes from and can be trusted. Just like when Marth first showed up, a step at a time.
